Let this be a place of healing. We encourage you to share your thoughts, feelings and stories of James or your own.
- A smile that would light up a room. My prayers for the family and continued strength to continue on. Beautiful tribute to James, the random acts of kindness!
Kathy -James I miss your crooked smile and your sarcastic jokes and your loving heart! You were always willing to help anyone who needed it. I miss and love you so much!!! Your niece and nephew miss you terribly and look to the sky often and ask about you! Lisa Hawkinson |

-James--You will always be in our heart. Never forgotten
Uncle Den and Auntie
-James was my tower of strength, no one could have suffered as he did and yet still smile. Those who met James, especially his nurses at Kaiser Hospital fell in love with him, he was a tease and could cause them some funny times, flying his little plane over their desks while they tried to work, throwing poppers that made noise when they hit the floor. Watching him suffer was the hardest thing his grandfather and I had to endure, but he showed such strength . He will always be our special grandson and as his grandfather told him (his favorite) James loved that. Oh James you are missed but never forgotten..
Nana
-I only wish I would have known James better. I loved him dearly though. His smile could melt anybody's heart. It is understandable why everybody loved him so much. James I hope you are looking down at me and grandpa Gonzales. We need your intercession with our Lord. We think about all the time and always will. We love you.
Priscilla Gonzales
-I always thought James was just the coolest. I'm a year younger, but he always included me, always made me feel special. One of my favorite memories growing up with James is always trying to steal his hats. He would pretend to put up a fight, but always let me have it. Even when we got older, I never stopped looking up to him, never stopped thinking of him as my cool older cousin. Thanks for making me so much cooler Jamers. Love you forever.

-James was and still is my teacher, he taught me to accept what you can't change, but never to give up. keep going, I am still learning his teaching and his strength to carry on. He gave me so much ,lessons on my new cell phone and how to love unconditionally. You are missed.
Love you always Nana
-I played football with James in high school and I remember standing by the sidelines with James waiting to play and he was telling me to do my best when I went in. That stuck with me because he meant it with his heart and he gave me a pat on the back. I will never forget James.
- My favorite memory of James that I will always think of is his love of playing cards with us or Rummy Cube and his one line jokes he would say and then seeing that beautiful smile. I love you James.
Aunt Sue
- I will always remember how much my daughter loved you! You're so amazing.
Casey
- James, I remember you facing everything that happened to you with a determination that never ceased to amaze me. You had plans with a capital P. And I'll never forget being dived bombed by your helicopter. Never had a patient (or friend!) do that to me before. I will always, always cherish your smile.
Kelly
- Jewett! I love you with all my heart. We're brothers. I will always cherish our friendship/brotherhood! From Vegas to wedding to driving to South Carolina. You're the strongest kid I know. I will honor you the rest of my life. Jewett/Hewitt/Shrek. Tahoe will always be my place to still be with my Brother!
